Ayres Art Prints

Mr. Ayres had an idea to do a series of paintings using historical landmarks in San Diego at the turn of the century. That idea originated when the Hotel del Coronado was having it’s centennial in 1988. The concept of showing the hotel the way it would have looked one-hundred years ago led Mr. Ayres to contact the historical societies in his extensive research for old photographs of San Diego landmarks. Mr. Ayres and his San Diego Series of paintings were featured on Channel Eight TV (a San Diego station) at that time.
